If you are a lover of culture, specially design, you will enjoy Graz a lot and you will want to stay at least one more day! One Day Experience

A Day spent in Graz, Austria

If you are a lover of culture, specially design, you will enjoy Graz a lot and you will want to stay at least one more day! In the year 2003 Graz won the title „European capital city of culture“ alongside Vienna, Prag, Budapest, and all other capital cities, so it had to be earned in the right way. Also to notch that, they have built an art museum on the bank of the river Mura whose architecture is at least strange and impressive. Since we already have mentioned the river Mura, there is an artificial island built on the river that looks like some kind of seashell and is connected with the land through two bridges. It was designed by American artist Vito Acconci.

What would you say when we would mention that the ex-governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger was born here and has a museum of its own, which you can also visit. Also, a great inventor born in Croatia Nikola Tesla lived here for a part of his life during schooling.

Since 1999 the old town is protected by Unesco and truly is unusually interesting and attractive. Glockenspiel clock is a town big clock on the hill above the old town which was built as a brewery advert, but today it shows time and when it rings for a full hour some kind of attraction happens along with Austrian music. This day trip offers easy exploring of the city and relaxing in Austrian culture and gastronomy.
