Pick up at the airport and transfer to your Hotel. Meeting at the airport with your tour guide and driver. Approx 30 minute drive to your hotel or apartment which is situated in the center of the town. Dinner at the restaurant in the center of Vienna s old town. After dinner optional, you can go for an evening walk through town.
We start with a chariot ride through Vienna to see the most important parts. After the ride, you meet with the local guide who will show you all the sights and nooks of the old city. You will see Stephansdom, Viennas beautiful cathedral, Opera house the most astonishing architecture creation built in 1895 and opened by Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth. But before Opera house, we have a surprise for you, a show, Time travel Vienna where you go through history and see how was Vienna developing through time. Somewhere in the middle of the day, you will experience what an Austrian lunch is all about. Dinner in the restaurant.
One more day of exploring Vienna sights and nooks. We start with a dose of sugar from Sacher cake and coffee in the original Sacher cafe. Schonbrunn Castle is next on the list, built-in 17th-century Schonbrun is today the biggest cultural and historical monument of Austria. It was a residence of Austrian emperors from the late 17th century to 1918 when Austro – Hungarian empire has collapsed, but before Schonbrunn, we will stop to visit Hofburg, the former principal imperial palace of the Habsburg dynasty rulers and today serves as the official residence and workplace of the President of Austria. It is located in the center of Vienna and was built in the 13th century and expanded several times afterward. We will close this day with amusement park Prater, a massive entertainment for both young and old, there you can have the best view over Vienna through huge Ferris wheel, and have a good time in seeing celebrities in Madame Tussaud museum.
Ride to Bratislava, you can have an option of going to Bratislava by boat, like a cruise with a catamaran, private speedboat, or with your usual driver and vehicle. If you choose by river your guide/driver will be waiting for you at the docks in Bratislava. The boat ride is approximately a 3-hour drive, a little less with a speedboat, and with a vehicle is around one hour. During your ride with a vehicle, you will see Devin castle, Liechtenstein Castle. When we come to Bratislava we will visit Bratislava castle and the Ufo observation deck.
In the morning, after breakfast, we’ll start our ride towards Budapest. Along the way, first, we will stop in Sopron, for a coffee and a bit of sightseeing because Sopron has a lot of history, a castle, and a fire tower. After Sopron, we will stop in Gyor for lunch in a restaurant and after lunch, we go for a wine tasting. When we arrive in Budapest, you have a free evening, dinner in Budapest.
Budapest, first things first – Ferris wheel, a bird’s view on Budapest from the town center. Next, we will have a panoramic ride with a guide so he could explain how the two cities of Budim and Pesta got together. We will visit also a private tour of the parliament house. In the meantime, we will go for lunch. Free afternoon. In your free time, you can visit some of the Budapest sky bars to have a drink or a meal and enjoy the view. In the evening you have dinner on a cruise along the Danube river on the boat.
We will continue with Budapest exploring, after breakfast, we leave for St. Stephans basilica – built in neoclassical architectural style and named in honor of the first king of Hungary Stephan 1st. It is the third tallest Hungarian church – 315 ft. The biggest bell in Hungary is situated in southern tower of the basilica and it weights more than 9 tons. Fisherman’s Bastion is next on the list. It was built for the celebration of the 1000 years of Hungary, it is a big terrace with seven towers that represent 7 Hungarian tribes that settled in the Carpathian basin in 895. It is time for lunch and wine tasting which we will do in Budim castle as well as the walk around the castle after lunch. Dinner in Budapest.
Today we finish our Hungarian part of the journey, we leave for Zagreb. On our way, there are lots of things on the itinerary. After breakfast we start our ride towards Brunszvik – Beethoven museum, next on our to-do list is Tapolca lake cave, those are the lakes beneath the ground, beautiful scenery, something you just have to see. We’ll stop for lunch or a coffee break in Croatian small town Varaždin. In the evening hours, we arrive in Zagreb. Dinner in the hotel or a restaurant in the city and a short walk through the city center.
Zagreb – panoramic/walking tour of the city – combination, around 4 hours, after we go for lunch in an authentic Zagreb restaurant.
We will visit the three most popular museums in town, two astonishing viewpoints, old towns Gradec & Kaptol, Kaptol tunnel which was built like a war tunnel, you will try authentic food such as Štrukli, Zagreb cathedral – the most beautiful and biggest cathedral in Croatia, it reaches a height of 108m, and she can fit 5000 people inside.
From Zagreb we will visit two medieval castles, one of them is called Veliki Tabor (Great camp) – for Veliki tabor, we have theme guidance through the history of the castle. The other is named Trakošćan, raised in 13th century as a small castle it grew up to its today dimensions thanks to Drašković family which owned the castle since 16th century to 1944 when they abandon Croatia and move to live in Austria. For our lunch break, we settle at a peaceful restaurant and vineyard for our last day. Free afternoon. Dinner in Zagreb.
Time to say goodbye, check out from the hotel, and transfer to the airport.
