Istrian villages are impressive in a way that they are not classical Croatian villages, they remind more of Italy Toscany’s small villages. They are all situated on the top of the hill and have some kind of walls around them. Beneath the hill is usually vineyards or olive trees planted. In Istria there is a lot of influence from Italy, even in some parts, the signs by the road are in Croatian and Italian language. On this tour, we will spend time in three villages in the northern part of Istria.

Istrian Villages

Istrian villages are impressive in a way that they are not classical Croatian villages, they remind more of Italy Toscany’s small villages. They are all situated on the top of the hill and have some kind of walls around them. Beneath the hill is usually vineyards or olive trees planted. In Istria there is a lot of influence from Italy, even in some parts, the signs by the road are in Croatian and Italian language. On this tour, we will spend time in three villages in the northern part of Istria.

One of them is the smallest town on earth, the second one is famous for its river bed and old mill, and the third one is the most popular one in continental Istria, and also known for its film festivals. Through this day trip, you will see beautiful nature, history, astonishing stone architecture and try some homemade drinks and local delicacies. We loved creating trips through Istria, it has grown to our hearts.
